Description
Initiates blood coagulation by forming a complex with circulating factor VII or VIIa. The [TF:VIIa] complex activates factors IX or X by specific limited protolysis. TF plays a role in normal hemostasis by initiating the cell-surface assembly and propagation of the coagulation protease cascade.

Molecular weight
The recombinant human F3/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein. The reduced monomer consists of 460 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 51.8 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 66 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
