Human IL31/Interleukin-31 (His Tag) recombinant protein
Activates STAT3 and possibly STAT1 and STAT5 through the IL31 heterodimeric receptor composed of IL31RA and OSMR. IL31 may function in skin immunity.
Protein short names
INTERLEUKIN 31; IL-31; 1700013B14RIK; IL31
A DNA sequence encoding the human IL31 (NP_001014358.1) (Met1-Thr164) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The recombinant human IL31 consists of 152 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 17.3 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 31.8 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
> 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
Measured by its ability to induce STAT3 activation in U‑87 cells.
The ED50 for this effect is 11-45 ng/mL.
