  • Background
STK32A(Serine/threonine-protein kinase 32A) is also named as YANK1 and belongs to Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It can affect cell metabolism by protein serine/threonine kinase phosphorylation. The gene encoding STK32A maps to human chromosome 5 and this gene is associated with Cockayne syndrome through the ERCC8 gene and familial adenomatous polyposis through the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) tumor suppressor gene.
