Product Information

  • Product Name
Human Flavokinase / RFK (His Tag) recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Catalyzes the phosphorylation of riboflavin (vitamin B2) to form flavin-mononucleotide (FMN), hence rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of FAD. Essential for TNF-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Through its interaction with both TNFRSF1A and CYBA, physically and functionally couples TNFRSF1A to NADPH oxidase. TNF-activation of RFK may enhance the incorporation of FAD in NADPH oxidase, a critical step for the assembly and activation of NADPH oxidase.
  • Protein name
    Riboflavin kinase
  • Protein short names
    AF031381; RP11-422N19.2; 0610038L10RIK; KOI-4; FLAVOKINASE; ATP:RIBOFLAVIN 5'-PHOSPHOTRANSFERASE; RIFK
  • Uniprot ID
    Q969G6
  • Gene Name
    RFK
  • Source/Expression Host
    E. coli
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the mature form of human RFK (Q969G6) (Met1-His155) was expressed with a polyhistide tag at the N-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Human
