Background
Lysophosphatidylcholine transferase 1 (LPCAT1) is a key enzyme for remodeling phospholipids, catalyzing the conversion of Lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) to phosphatidylcholine (PC). LPCAT1 is predominantly expressed in lung, particularly in alveolar type II cells.
