  • Background
    NKIAMRE is also named as CDKL3(Cyclin-dependent kinase-like 3) and belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. It restricts cell growth or maintaining differentiation and may have a role in regulating cell growth and/or diferentiation. This protein contains the MAPK-like TDY motif for threonine and tyrosine phosphorylation, as well as the putative cyclin-binding motif(PMID:10463609). It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the molecular mass of 52 kDa and 68 kDa.
