Product Information

  • Product Name
Rat UNC5B / UNC5H2 (Fc Tag) recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Receptor for netrin required for axon guidance. Mediates axon repulsion of neuronal growth cones in the developing nervous system upon ligand binding. Axon repulsion in growth cones may be caused by its association with DCC that may trigger signaling for repulsion. It also acts as a dependence receptor required for apoptosis induction when not associated with netrin ligand. Mediates apoptosis by activating DAPK1. In the absence of NTN1, activates DAPK1 by reducing its autoinhibitory phosphorylation at Ser-308 thereby increasing its catalytic activity (By similarity).

    Human Cells
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the rat UNC5B (NP_071543.1) (Met1-Asp373) was expressed with the Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Rat
  • Molecular weight
The recombinant rat UNC5B/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 588 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 65.7 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 72-90 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
