Description
Receptor for IL17A, IL17F and, in dimer with IL17RE, for IL17C. Binds its IL17A ligand with low affinity, suggesting that additional components are involved in IL17A-induced signaling.

Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain of human IL17RA (NP_055154.3) (Met 1-Trp 320) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

Protein Species
Human

Molecular weight
The recombinant human IL17RA consists of 299 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 35 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rh IL17RA is approximately 55-60 kDa due to glycosylation.

Purity
> 97 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
-
Activity
1. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant human IL17A at 2 μg/ml (100 μl/well) can bind biotinylated human IL17RA with a linear range of 1.28-32 ng/ml.
2. Measured by its ability to inhibit IL-17-induced IL-6 secretion by HFF human foreskin fibroblast cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.03-0.12 μg/mL. -
Validations
