Description
Binds with low affinity to interleukin-13 (IL13). Together with IL4RA can form a functional receptor for IL13. Also serves as an alternate accessory protein to the common cytokine receptor gamma chain for interleukin-4 (IL4) signaling, but cannot replace the function of IL2RG in allowing enhanced interleukin-2 (IL2) binding activity (By similarity).

Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Thr 340) of mouse IL13R?1 (NP_598751.3) precursor was fused with the C-terminal polyhistidine-tagged Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.

Molecular weight
The recombinant mouse IL13R?1/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer after removal of the signal peptide. The reduced monomer consists of 563 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 64 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rm IL13R?1/Fc monomer is approximately 80-90 kDa due to glycosylation.

Purity
> 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
-
Activity
Immobilized mouse IL13 (Cat:501816) at 10 μg/ml (100 μl/well) can bind mouse IL13RA1-Fch with a linear range of 0.06-0.5 μg/ml.
