Human FIGF/VEGF-D (His Tag) recombinant protein
Growth factor active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration and also has effects on the permeability of blood vessels. May function in the formation of the venous and lymphatic vascular systems during embryogenesis, and also in the maintenance of differentiated lymphatic endothelium in adults. Binds and activates VEGFR-2 (KDR/FLK1) and VEGFR-3 (FLT4) receptors.

A DNA sequence encoding the mature form of human VEGFD (NP_004460.1) corresponding to amino acid (Phe 93-Ser 201) was expressed with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.
The recombinant mature form of human VEGFD consists of 120 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 13.6 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, it migrates with an apparent molecular mass of 20-22 kDa due to glycosylation.

Measured in a cell proliferation assay using human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC).
The ED50 for this effect is 0.3‑1.6 μg/mL.
