  • Background
SP2 also named as Sp2 transcription factor or KIAA0048 is a 613 amino acid protein, which contains 3 C2H2-type zinc fingers and belongs to the sp1 C2H2-type zinc finger protein family. SP2 binds to box promoters elements and selectively activates mRNA synthesis from genes that contain functional recognition sites in nucleus . SP2 may regulate expression of the T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) gene.
