Background
Secreted frizzled-related protein 4 (SFRP4) is a member of the SFRP family that contains a cysteine-rich domain homologous to the putative Wnt-binding site of Frizzled proteins. SFRP4 functions as a suppressor of tumor growth via inhibition of the Wnt signaling pathway.Downregulation or deletion of SFRP4 has been reported in several cancers and cell lines such as endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, and others. This antibody got 41-51 kDa and 55 kDa bands in western blotting maybe due to differential posttranslational protein modification.
