Description
Immunohistochemical studies using an antiserum against this peptide revealed a limited distribution in the rat brain. The pattern of distribution of immunoreactive neuropeptide W-23 (rat) in the hypothalamus corroborates a possible role of NPW-23 on prolactin release and feeding behavior reported by others.
