Product Information

  • Product Name
Human B3GNT2 (Fc Tag) recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Beta-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase involved in the synthesis of poly-N-acetyllactosamine. Catalyzes the initiation and elongation of poly-N-acetyllactosamine chains. Shows a marked preference for Gal(beta1-4)Glc(NAc)-based acceptors (PubMed:9892646). Probably constitutes the main polylactosamine synthase.
  • Protein name
    N-acetyllactosaminide beta-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 2
  • Protein short names
    3-N-ACETYLGLUCOSAMINYLTRANSFERASE BGNT-1; 3-N-ACETYLGLUCOSAMINYLTRANSFERASE BGNT-2; B3GN-T2; 3-GALACTOSYLTRANSFERASE; B3GNT-2; BGNT-2; BETA3GN-T2; BETA3GNT; BGNT1; AW260308; B3GNT1; 3-N-ACETYLGLUCOSAMINYLTRANSFERASE 2; BETA-1; AA409404; POLYPEPTIDE 6; AA408337; RP23-242C19.1; BGNT2; BETA 1; B3GALT6; 3-GN-T2; UDP-GLCNAC:BETAGAL BETA-1; BETA3GN-T1; 3-GN-T1; B3GNT; BGNT-2 BETAGAL BETA-1; BGNT-1; 3-N-ACETYLGLUCOSAMINYLTRANSFERASE 1; UDP-GAL:BETAGLCNAC BETA 1
  • Uniprot ID
    Q9NY97
  • Gene Name
    B3GNT2; B3GALT7; B3GNT1
  • Source/Expression Host
    Human Cells
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the human B3GNT2 (Q9NY97-1) (Lys29-Cys397) was expressed, with the fused Fc region of human IgG1 at the N-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Human
  • Molecular weight
The recombinant human B3GNT2/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 629 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 71.2 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 112-120 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
