  • Background
HOXA, a member of HOX family, encoded by HOX genes, is a transcriptional factors that plays important role in organogenesis during development via the regualtion of proliferation, differentiation, survival, migration and invasion.HOXA1 influences numerous cellular processes including proliferation, apoptosis, and the epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT), and HOXA1 overexpression is sufficient for malignant transformation of nontumorigenic epithelial cells.
