Background
GATA4 is a transcriptional activator. GATA4 binds to the consensus sequence 5'-AGATAG-3'. GATA4 acts as a transcriptional activator of ANF in cooperation with NKX2-5. Mutation of GATA4 will cause the atrial septal defect type 2 (ASD2). The antibody is specific to GATA4.
