Background
ARHGAP5, also named as RHOGAP5 and p190-B, is GTPase-activating protein for Rho family members. It may play a role in the reduction of the p21rasGTPase-activating potential of p120GAP. ARHGAP5 can be directly phosphorylated on a single identified tyrosine residue by the activated insulin and IGF-1 receptors. It also has been shown to be tyrosine phosphorylated by cSrc and vSrc. Additionally the GAP domain of ARHGAP5 is shown to attenuate signal transducing activity of Rac, Rho and CDC42. The antibody is specific to ARHGAP5.
