- Prepare 0.8 L of distilled water in a suitable container.
- Add 1 g of Sodium sulfite to the solution.
- Add 744.3 g of Chloral hydrate to the solution.
- Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
- Filter the solution through Whatman paper and use immediately.
