  • Additional Information
Peptide WH is a novel peptide discovered using phage display technique that selectively binds to Clec9a+ dendritic cells (DCs) or Clec9a over-expressed HEK-293T cells. It has been observed that Asp 248 and Trp 250 are two key residues for Clec9a to bind with peptide WH. When coupled with OVA 257-264 epitope, peptide WH can significantly enhance the ability of Clec9a+ DCs to activate OVA-specific CD8+ T cells, which elicit strong ability to secret IFN-γ, express perforin and granzyme B mRNA. Peptide WH could be considered as an antigen delivery carrier targeting Clec9a+ DCs for cancer immunotherapy. In brief, Peptide WH could bind to Clec9a+ DCs selectively, and enhance the antigen cross presentation, further stimulate the antigen specific CTL response both in vitro and in vivo. This strategy could be very effective in cancer immunotherapy.
  • Storage Guidelines

  • About TFA salt

Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is a strong acid, which is commonly used to cleave synthesized peptides from solid-phase resins and is also used to improve HPLC performance in the peptide purification step. By default, custom peptides are delivered as lyophilized TFA salts, and can contain as much as 10-45% TFA.

TFA in custom peptides can cause inexplicable discrepancies in subsequent assay data. For instance, TFA in nM concentrations has been shown to interfere with cellular assays, inhibiting cellular proliferation in some instances, and increasing cell viability in others . It has also been found to be an unintended allosteric modulator of the glycine receptor, GlyR.

TFA Removal Service is recommended for:

    • Peptides that will be used in cellular assays
    • Peptides that will be used as APIs or in manufactured products
    • For hydrophilic peptides containing numerous basic residues
