Product Information

  • Product Name
Mouse UCHL1 (His Tag) recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Ubiquitin-protein hydrolase involved both in the processing of ubiquitin precursors and of ubiquitinated proteins. This enzyme is a thiol protease that recognizes and hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. Also binds to free monoubiquitin and may prevent its degradation in lysosomes. The homodimer may have ATP-independent ubiquitin ligase activity.
  • Protein name
    Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase isozyme L1
  • Protein short names
    AW822034; NDGOA; PARK5; PGP 9.5; PGP9.5; PGP95; R75593; C88048; UCH-L1; HEL-117; UCHL-1; GAD; UCHL1
  • Uniprot ID
    Q9R0P9
  • Gene Name
    Uchl1
  • Source/Expression Host
    E. coli
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the mouse UCHL1 (Q9R0P9) (Gln 2-Ala 223) was expressed, with a polyhistide tag at the N-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Mouse
  • Molecular weight
The recombinant mouse UCHL1 consisting of 233 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 26.2 kDa. rm UCHL1 migrates as an approximately 29 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
  • Purity
    > 97 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
  • Activity
Measured by the hydrolysis of UbiquitinAMC. The specific activity is >100 pmoles/min/μg.
  • Validations
