Product Information

  • Product Name
Human CD164 (His Tag) recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Sialomucin that may play a key role in hematopoiesis by facilitating the adhesion of CD34(+) cells to the stroma and by negatively regulating CD34(+)CD38(lo/-) cell proliferation. Modulates the migration of umbilical cord blood CD133+ cells and this is mediated through the CXCL12/CXCR4 axis. May play an important role in prostate cancer metastasis and the infiltration of bone marrow by cancer cells. Promotes myogenesis by enhancing CXCR4-dependent cell motility. Positively regulates myoblast migration and promotes myoblast fusion into myotubes (By similarity).
  • Protein name
    Sialomucin core protein 24
  • Protein short names
    AA589639; MSSP; A115; MUC-24; MGC-24; A24; ENDOLYN; RP11-425D10.9; CD164; AW540279
  • Uniprot ID
    Q04900
  • Gene Name
    CD164
  • Source/Expression Host
    Human Cells
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the human CD164 (Q04900-1) extracellular domain (Met 1-Asp 162) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Human
  • Molecular weight
The recombinant human CD164 consists of 150 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 15.9 kDa. As a result of different glycosylation, the apparent molecular mass of rhCD164 is approximately 40-110 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
