    RANATUERIN 3 is an antimicrobial peptide found in Rana catesbeiana (Lithobates catesbeianus, North American bull frog), and has antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacterium Staphylococcus aureus (MIC=60 µM). It shows no detectable hemolytic activity at aconcentration of 20µg/ml against human red blood cell.
    RANATUERIN 3 is a cyclic peptide with an alpha helix structure and a disulfide bridge between Cys23 and Cys28. It belongs to the frog skin active peptide family (Brevinin subfamily).

    Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) has a significant impact on peptides due to its role in the peptide synthesis process.
