Description
Leuprolide is a synthetic analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) that modulates gene expression in target tissues. The peptide influences cellular processes by downregulating genes associated with steroid hormone regulation, cell proliferation, inflammation, and intracellular signaling, such as PTGDS, GRP, APLP2, PLTP, and FGFRL1. Conversely, it upregulates genes involved in cell growth inhibition and apoptosis, including CARD11 and USP18.
Molecular analysis reveals that Leuprolide alters pathways related to immune response, cytokine signaling, and metabolic regulation.
