  • Description

Recombinant Human Ferroptosis Suppressor Protein 1 (FSP1) Fragment (aa 28-373) - A highly purified, stable protein fragment ideal for studying the molecular mechanisms of ferroptosis inhibition and oxidative stress response. This 346-amino acid fragment maintains key functional properties while offering enhanced solubility for structural and biochemical applications.

Ferroptosis Suppressor Protein 1 (FSP1), encoded by the AIFM2 gene, is a critical NAD(P)H-dependent oxidoreductase that functions as a key inhibitor of ferroptosis, a form of regulated cell death driven by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation. FSP1 operates in parallel to GPX4 to suppress phospholipid peroxidation through its ability to catalyze the reduction of coenzyme Q/ubiquinone-10 to ubiquinol-10, generating a potent lipophilic antioxidant that prevents lipid oxidative damage. Additionally, FSP1 acts as a warfarin-resistant vitamin K reductase, producing hydroquinone forms that serve as radical-trapping antioxidants. The protein demon
