  • Description

DSLET (H-Tyr-D-Ser-Gly-Phe-Leu-Thr-OH) is a synthetic enkephalin analog characterized as a highly specific agonist for the δ-opioid receptor. In biochemical studies using the IRD 98 rat intestinal epithelial cell line, DSLET exhibits high-affinity binding to δ-opioid receptors, with a potency approximately tenfold greater than that of the ligand DADLE in competitive binding assays.

Functionally, DSLET demonstrates the capacity to inhibit cholera toxin-induced synthesis of adenosine 3’,5’ cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) in a dose-dependent manner in these cells. This inhibitory effect on cAMP production is potentiated in the presence of the enkephalinase inhibitor thiorphan and is reversed by the δ-opioid receptor antagonist naltrindole, confirming a receptor-mediated action. The presence of neutral endopeptidase (enkephalinase) activity in the cell membrane influences the peptide's stability and functional activity.

  • Storage Guidelines

  • About TFA salt

Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is a common counterion from the purification process using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The presence of TFA can affect the peptide's net weight, appearance, and solubility.

Impact on Net Weight: The TFA salt contributes to the total mass of the product. In most cases, the peptide content constitutes >80% of the total weight, with TFA accounting for the remainder.

Solubility: TFA salts generally enhance the solubility of peptides in aqueous solutions.

In Biological Assays: For most standard in vitro assays, the residual TFA levels do not cause interference. However, for highly sensitive cellular or biochemical studies, please be aware of its presence.
